Dee Gillingham

 

Dolores M. “Dee” Gillingham died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Lawson Nursing Home.  Born in Liberty Borough, May 26, 1925, age 85.  Of White Oak, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, a retired secretary for the R.W. Junker Agency, and worked in the Guidance Counseling Department of the McKeesport Area School District.  A member of McKeesport Presbyterian Church since 1946 and its Women’s Association, she was a volunteer for McKeesport Meals On Wheels and for the White Oak Branch of the Carnegie Library of McKeesport.

 
Daughter of the late Thomas and Frieda Colditz McLaughlin, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A. Ross Gillingham, and is survived by 2 daughters, Carol (Lowell) Peickert of Eden Prairie, MN and Patty (Dennis) Mooney of White Oak; son, Tom (Joe Levy) Gillingham of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandchildren, Megan (Peter) Moen of Albertville, MN, Adam Ross Kinney of White Oak, and Carrie and Sarah Mooney of White Oak; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Moen; and her sister-in-law, Lois Gillingham of McKeesport.

 

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM where a service will take place Saturday, November 6 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Darrell Knopp officiating.  Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.  The family suggests contributions to McKeesport Presbyterian Church, 1550 Versailles Avenue, McKeesport, PA  15132.
