Donald Lewis Johnson

Donald Lewis Johnson died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in UPMC McKeesport. Born in Versailles Township, PA, August 10, 1934, age 75. Of McKeesport, he was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, the White Oak American Legion, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired welder at the former National Works of US Steel and Camp Hill Corp.

Son of the late Rupert Edward and Clarissa Elizabeth Lewis Johnson, brother of the late Charles Johnson, he is survived by his wife, Elveria H. Blamick Johnson; a son, Wayne (Debora) Johnson of Driftwood, PA; granddaughter, Melissasue Moore of Emporium, PA; 2 brothers, Edwin (Helen) Johnson of Franklin, TN and Glenn (Eileen) Johnson of Elkin, MD; and a sister, Gayle Johnson of Pittsburgh; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A service will take place Saturday, April 17 at 11:00 AM in Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Brian A. Evans officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
