Floyd Edward Wisser

Floyd Edward Wisser died Friday, December 4, 2009 in Uniontown Hospital. Born in Versailles Township, PA, November 20, 1915, age 94. Of White Oak, he was retired from the Power & Fuel Division of the former National Works of U.S. Steel. A WWII U.S. Navy veteran, he served aboard the U.S.S. Tonawanda, and was a member of the Eleventh Ward Club and the General Smedley D. Butler Post #701, American Legion, White Oak.

Son of the late Frederick and Anna Matilda Erhardt Wisser, husband of the late Dorothy Marie Morrison Wisser, brother of the late Bertha Delo, Jacob, Earl, Robert, and Phillip Wisser, he is survived by his daughter, Toni (Earl) Moss of East Millsboro, PA, his son, Albert A. (Della) Wisser of White Oak, 4 grandchildren, Jodie Moss Redshaw, Audra L. Ostrander, Dr. Earl F. Moss, and Scott A. Wisser, also 7 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 Sunday from 12 Noon until 4 PM. A service will take place there on Monday, December 7 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Roy McGrath officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park.
