William J. Reynolds

William J. Reynolds died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in UPMC McKeesport. Born in McKeesport, October 9, 1917, age 92. Of McKeesport, Mr. Reynolds was a retired plumber and a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors Lodge, Plumbers Union Local #27, and the White Oak American Legion. He served as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific Theater during World War II, and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Son of the late William J. Reynolds, Sr. and Bessie Reynolds Gayda, he is survived by his wife of 68 years, Blanche Hanst Reynolds; his children, Linda (Dan) Rendulic of Port Vue, Charlene (Glenn) Hennon of Glen Rock, PA, and Gary W. Reynolds of Glenshaw; 6 grandchildren, Dan and Carl Rendulic, Bradley and Brian Hennon, and Gary and Nick Reynolds; and also by 9 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Saturday from 9-11 AM. A service will take place in the funeral home Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Kathleen Barnhart officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
