Frank M. Beech died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in the Life Care Center of Sierra Vista. Born in McKeesport May 20, 1921, age 87. Of Sierra Vista, AZ, formerly of Liberty Borough, he was a retired electrician at the former National Works of US Steel. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Grand Order of the Masons, Syria Temple of the Shrine, Al O Mon Forest #138, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the United Steelworkers Union. A WWII Army Air Force veteran and ex-prisoner of war, Mr. Beech was a member of the 381st Bomb Group Association, the American Ex-Prisoners of War, and the American Legion.

Son of the late William and Maud Johnston Beech, husband of the late Ruth Potersnak Beech, brother of the late Kathryn Cush and William Beech, he is survived by his son, William E. (Pam) Beech of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandson, John D. Beech of Sierra Vista, AZ; sister, Barbara L. Beech of White Oak and brother, Glenn Beech of McKeesport.

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, where a service will be held Thursday, April 23 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Gordon P. Ray officiating. Entombment will follow in Jefferson Mausoleum, Pleasant Hills, PA.
