Helen Dingeldine Adams

Helen Dingeldine Adams died Saturday, January 27, 2007 in the Senior Care Plaza, McKeesport. Born in McKeesport January 5, 1924, age 83. Of Elizabeth Township, she was a retired nurse, employed by McKeesport Hospital & Deshon Veterans Hospital, Butler, PA, where she met her husband. She attended nurse’s cadet training from 1943-1944, and also worked as a nurse for Dr. Stanley Hall Holland, and retired as a nurse for Dr. Thelma Dulany. Co-owner of the former Craft Cottage in Greenock, she was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, a life member of the McKeesport Hospital Nurse’s Alumni Association, and past Worthy Matron of Old Glory Chapter, Order Eastern Star. An Eastern Star service will be held Tuesday evening in the funeral home.

Daughter of the late Michael and Edith Buchweitz Dingeldine, wife of the late Robert R. (Bob) Adams, she is survived by her brother, James (Jean) Dingeldine of Bethel Park, a niece and 2 nephews.

Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A service will be held Wednesday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Warren L. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 329 Ninth Avenue, McKeesport, PA 15132.
