Jack A. McCain

Jack A. McCain died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at home. Born in Versailles Township (White Oak) February 28, 1920, age 86. Of White Oak, he was a retired salesman for Premier Refractories. A US Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church & its choir, a 50 year member of Aliquippa Lodge # 375 F & AM, a member of Syria Temple of the Shrine and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Pittsburgh.

Son of the late Alfred Lothrup and Merle McClure McCain, he is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Chew McCain, 2 children, Janet (Jim) Gerber of White Oak, Jack A. (Diana) McCain, Jr. of Durham, CT, 7 grandchildren, Heather M. Fox, Daniel G. Fox II, Jack A. McCain III, Ross M. McCain, Bethany M. Gerber, Katherine C. Gerber, Larissa D. Gerber, 5 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Pricilla (W. Donald) Watson of White Oak, Gladys M. McCain of White Oak, and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 19 at 7:00 PM in Wesley United Methodist Church. Private interment will follow. The family suggests contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church or The Masonic Home. Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport is in charge of arrangements.
