John S. Jack Shaw

John S. “Jack” Shaw died Monday, April 14, 2008 in Sacramento, CA. Of Fair Oaks, CA, he was born in McKeesport October 3, 1950, age 57. A retired firefighter at McClelland Air Force Base, he was a graduate of West Mifflin High School, Class of 1970, and was a U.S. Navy Specialist who served in the Vietnam War. While living in West Mifflin, Jack was employed at Kennywood Park and the former Duquesne Works of U.S. Steel.

Son of the late Daniel W. Ruccio, he is survived by his mother, Bette Vaughn McAdoo Ruccio of White Oak, his wife, Pamela Shaw of Fair Oaks, CA, daughters, Mysti and Crystal, brother, Frank D. Shaw of White Oak, sister, Dana (Ronald) Fullerton of White Oak, nieces, Christina and Jamie Shaw, nephew, William Vaughn Fullerton, aunt, Patricia Monoyoudis of White Oak, and uncle John “Jack” McAdoo of Conneaut, PA.

A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Stephen Chervenak at St. Angela Merici Church on Saturday, May 3 at 9:00 AM, with Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport in charge of arrangements. Jack’s family suggests contributions to the Firefighters Burn Institute, 3823 V St., Suite #4, Sacramento, CA 95817.
