Virginia R. McCullough

Virginia R. McCullough, 94, of White Oak, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at UPMC McKeesport. Born in McKeesport, September 17, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Priscilla Rowland Massung, was raised by her grandparents, the late James and Katherine Rowland, and was wife of the late Mabon S. McCullough. Mrs. McCullough was retired from the former McKeesport National Bank, where she served as manager of its University Branch and worked in its downtown McKeesport office. She was a member of McKeesport Presbyterian Church, was an active volunteer at the Carnegie Library of McKeesport and the McKeesport Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. She served as a trustee and deacon at the former Immanuel Presbyterian Church, where she also prepared meals for the Intersection. She is survived by her cousin, Dolores M. Sullivan of White Oak; 2 sisters, Maureen Davis of Kent, Ohio and Kathleen Germanowski of Murrysville, PA; and 2 nephews, David Ringler of Daphney, Alabama and Timothy (Dorothy) Ringler of West Chester, PA. Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A service will be conducted in the funeral home Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Jay Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
